What is a Remote Draft System?

A remote draft beer system is a method of storing and delivering draft beer from kegs (also known as barrels). The kegs are stored in large coolers located some distance from the actual tap. The taps are connected to the delivery system through insulated lines. The beer in the lines are under moderate pressure, and when the tap is opened, beer is drawn from the keg through the lines.

Advantages of a Remote Draft System

1) Taste. Most people prefer genuine draft beer
2) Cost. Draft beer is far more profitable than bottled beer, and takes less storage space.
3) Versatility. Draft beer can be dispnsed in any size or style glass or pitcher

Challanges of a Remote Draft System

In the past, draft beer systems were prone to two main problems: keeping the ber cold, and excess foam. This is precisely why we have developed the patented Chill-Pak system: to eliminate these two problems, and make beer more profitable than ever. And most people prefer cold beer!

How the Chill-Pak System Works

Most systems are designed to maintain the temperature of the beer in the coolers. Real world experience tells us this approach is often not good enough.

Chill-Pak is the only system specifically designed to chill beer in the delivery lines, and at the point of delivery. So the beer is served at a consistent temperature, regardless of variations in the cooler.

Refrigerated Lines and Flash Chillers

The Chill-Pak  system uses glycol to refigerate the product delivery lines. At the end of the line runs, we also use an aluminum flash chiller to chill the beer to a specific temperature just prior to delivery. This flash chiller acts as an "energy cell," storing cold in a molded aluminum block, and drawing any excess heat from the beer. These energy cells are built into our In-Line reservoir, and into our towers, making the Chill-Pak system totally unique.

The End Result

The end result is that you will deliver beer as cold as you like, as low as 30°, from the first pull to the last. Perfect heads that you control. You will have almost no waste due to foam in the product lines, no-pour offs of wasted beer. No wasted time with re-pouring beer. In fact our system tests show that you can recover as much as 20% more beer from each keg you buy. A better product, at a lower cost.
